I worked once again with model Pascale Claveau for this shoot in july, in a Hull neighborhood. With her short hair, she had the boyish look, so we chose something simple and feminine for the outfits. Working with Pascale is a pure delight; she is in fact one of the most talented models I have worked with. And this shoot will probably not be our last one together. 
Last saturday was the Electronic Music Festival : Fresh Beat at Confederation Park in Ottawa. I was there to cover the whole day. The event was a success, even if the weather was not really favorable. The organizers Steve Martin and Martin Michalowski are planning to make this event an annual festival. I got inspired for this shoot while I was listening to the song “Summer in the city” by Lovin Spoonful. And, of course, this summer was pretty hot and humid in Ottawa. So, I decided to make this shoot downtown in the middle of the afternoon, while the weather was the hottest. We went on top of a parking garage that was deserted, and on the patio of a local trendy restaurant. The clothes were provided by a local designer, and the hair and make-up was done by make-up artist Robin Seguin-Jeffery.
I did this engagement shoot with a lovely couple in the park of Lac Leamy, Gatineau. This place is perfect for photos; it inspires me every time. I used a shallow depth of field for most of the photos, and I played around with the colors in some of the photos.
Over a month ago, I did an amazing shoot in collaboration with the talented 53 karat‘s hair stylists Nicole Thompson and Sonya Hotte, and jewelry designer Josee Robitaille. We really made a great team all together!

Doing shoots with bands is usually a LOT of fun! This shoot, which was supposed to be shot downtown, was a last minute change, so it was highly improvised. But, improvisation sometimes gives great spontaneous results!
