Shoot with designer Mika Van Dromme – Part 1

This week, I did a major shoot for Ottawa designer Mika Van Dromme, capturing different pieces of her collections. We did the shoot at Confederation Park, in Ottawa. Working with fashion designers is truly one of the things that I love doing most. I also want to thank hair stylist Adrian Brown, make-up artist Robin Seguin-Jeffery, and the models, who did excellent jobs! Here are some photos from the shoot. There’s more to come!

Shoot with Nancy

It was a pleasure to work with Nancy, an Ottawa upcoming model. There was two parts to her photo shoot; one African style beauty shoot in studio, and a shoot outdoors near a lake. The make-up was by Robin Seguin-Jeffery, and I must admit, she did a wonderful job, as usual.

Tricia’s photo shoot

I recently worked with Tricia Minga, a singer and make-up artist from Ottawa, for her new promotional photo shoot. We shot it in my studio using three different outfits and set-ups. She is always great to work with, she’s very down-to-earth and talented! Here are a few shots from the photo shoot:

Ava’s fashion shoot

Working with Ava is a pure delight. She is an experienced model, and she is good at what she does. She can transform herself with many different looks. For this photo shoot, we worked with Nicole Thompson (see the post “Behind the Scene -1″), who did an excellent job with the hair and make-up. The shoot went really well as we mostly improvised with the 60′s look created. Here are a few shots:

Behind the Scene – 1

This is the first video “Behind the Scene” that we shot during Ava’s photo shoot at my studio. We really had fun, Ava was perfect for the 60′s shoot we wanted for the shoot. And the hair and make up was done by the talented Nicole Thompson. =)

Airplanes photo shoot for Calendar

At the end of last summer, I started this calendar project with a friend of mine. Six models took part of this and we shot in two days in a small airport. The owners of the planes were kind enough to let us use their plane in the photos and some even offered to let us go inside the planes!

Hippie girl and a car

This photo session was shot near Quebec City, where we have a lot of choices for different fields. The concept was a hippie girl in a field with a car, and with a summery feel to it. I chose this model because I wanted a girl with blonde hair, and as I saw some of her work as a model before, I immediately thought she would be great for it. So, we went to this field that I spotted just for this shoot, when the sun was low at the end of the day. I found a black Camaro and thought it would add something different for the shoot, instead of just going for a lighter car. We also had the chance to take photos with the horse of the neighbor, a farmer who was happy to let us do so! I used a flash for most of the shots, because I wanted to include the sun in the background of the photos, to add that summer feel. Here’s out it turned out:
