It was a pleasure to work with Nancy, an Ottawa upcoming model. There was two parts to her photo shoot; one African style beauty shoot in studio, and a shoot outdoors near a lake. The make-up was by Robin Seguin-Jeffery, and I must admit, she did a wonderful job, as usual.

Shoot with Nancy

Portraits of Joy
May 26
I did this shoot last week with Joy, and I already had in mind what I wanted to do. I wanted to create “dream like” photos. So we went in some fields around Aylmer, QC, and we walked around. Joy was a great model for this shoot, and she played the role perfectly. I used the light from the sun setting down to create some nice effects, and I used no flash.

The lovely winter
Jan 16
On a rather cold and windy winter day, me and Rima went outside for a two hour photo shoot. I was ok with my winter boots, gloves, scarf and big puffy coat, but it’s always a challenge to go shoot in the cold. Although the results are often really great, so it is worth it. For this one, the wind added some extra “life” into the photos. Rima wanted a personal photo shoot that reflected who she is which a touch of something different. So we walked around the Art Museum of Ottawa and found some really neat spots. Here’s a peek at what came out of it.
Playing with colours
Jan 14
Creating colourful photos is one of my favorite things to do. I love colours! This photo shoot was made in Hull, Qc. Hull can be an interesting place to shoot, that is, if you find the right locations. Pascale was the model for this one. She has been in a local model agency in the past, so having experience, she was really easy to work with. She is still one of my favorite models to work with here in the Ottawa region.
For this photo shoot, I already had in mind what I wanted. I wanted to produce something colorful, something that has “life” in it. That’s why I chose to go in the morning, when the sun is lower and does a perfect job for me to able to create a colorful photo shoot. I used only natural light except for some photos on with the trees. There I wanted to created something “surreal”, as for the other ones, I wanted something more natural, but as the same time something that could come out of a dream.
The haunted houses
Jan 9
I took the four first photos near Bathurst, New Brunswick. The house that we see in the pictures has been abandonned for a while, and the weather outside seemed to be perfect for a spooky-dark photo shoot. I went there with my friend Jimmy who served as a model at the same time. Another picture of this series was taken at another location, it was at another abandoned house in Madawaska, Maine. That house wasn’t that old, and it was actually surprising to see that it was abandoned since it was a huge house and people that lived there must have had a lot of money. The last set of pictures were taken at an abandoned house in Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, New Brunswick. I absolutely love those kind of photo shoots, and try to work on some whenever I have free time. Here are a few pictures I got from those three photo shoots:
